Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

TravelOwl is operated by Qahani Limited ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16901405). By using the TravelOwl app (the "App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. About the Service

TravelOwl allows you to create itineraries, track destinations, activities, expenses, collaborate with others, maintain checklists, and sync data across devices.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the App.

4. User Accounts

• Registration: Requires a valid email, secure password, and display name.
• Security: You are responsible for account confidentiality and all activity. Notify us of unauthorised access immediately.
• Deletion: Accounts can be deleted via Settings. Personal data will be removed within 30 days. Subscriptions are cancelled per app store policies.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

• Free tier includes basic features; premium subscription unlocks advanced features.
• Payments are handled by Apple or Google; auto-renewals apply unless cancelled 24 hours before renewal. Refunds follow app store policies.

6. User Content

• You retain ownership of your content (itineraries, notes, images).
• You grant Qahani Limited a licence to store, process, and back up content for app functionality. Licence ends upon account deletion.
• Shared holidays can be viewed/edited by others, but you remain the owner.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You must not: use the App unlawfully, access others' accounts, reverse-engineer the App, upload malware, impersonate others, or violate intellectual property rights.

8. Intellectual Property

All app content, trademarks, logos, and software are owned by Qahani Limited or licensors. Feedback may be used by Qahani Limited without compensation.

9. Third-Party Services

Includes AWS, RevenueCat, Sentry, and Expo. We are not responsible for their services.

10. Disclaimers

• App provided "as is" and "as available".
• TravelOwl is a planning tool; we do not book travel or provide advice.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Qahani Limited shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or goodwill

For Free Tier Users:

• Use of the free tier is entirely at your own risk. We accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from free-tier use.

For Paid/Premium Users:

• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months prior to the claim.

12. Data Protection & Privacy

Use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy, which includes GDPR and UK data protection compliance.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update Terms; continued use constitutes acceptance.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for breaches, fraudulent activity, or unpaid premium subscriptions. Certain obligations survive termination.

15. Governing Law

England and Wales law applies; disputes submitted to its courts.
